The Ballantyne area of Charlotte, NC is a newer community south of I-485 on what used to be the Morrison hunting preserve. Ballantyne is approximately 12 to 15 miles away from Uptown / Downtown Charlotte and is more or less it’s own destination spot within the greater scope of Charlotte, NC real estate. However, Ballantyne does not have it’s own “city”, it’s still part of Charlotte, NC.
Within its borders are a 535-acre corporate park, which includes office buildings, a resort hotel, and a couple of top notch golf courses as well as the renowned Dana Rader School of Golf. The golf course has been recognized as one of the best in the state and Dana Rader’s school as one of the 25 best in the country.
